Canine cancer research currently led by Dr Christopher Weir

Over 50% of dogs will contract cancer in their life time.

Canine cancer rates are similar to those of humans, however, canine patients can have limited therapeutic options due to financial, access or safety barriers.

Stimulating a patient’s own immune system to target and attack the tumour has become a new weapon in the fight against cancer. This is a groundbreaking method of treatment which is being pioneered right here at the University of Sydney led by Research Fellow Christopher Weir and his team. Novel cancer vaccines and immune stimulants are being developed in their laboratory and are offered to canine cancer patients to show safety, efficacy and provide data to progress new technology to the clinic.

Help support the University of Sydney's visionary research which aims to better treat canines suffering from cancer.

Your donation will help the development of new canine cancer therapies for dogs at the University of Sydney, which could further develop future human cancer treatments.

100% of every donation goes directly to supporting canine cancer research currently led by Dr Christopher Weir, and all donations $2 and over are tax deductible.
